After watching some very expressive movement by one of the university dance lecturers, SI Rawlinson, I was intrigued to understand how I could interact with material being made due to the pandemic. I used recently acquired Isadora skills to make mark makng techniques. Creating live masks and computer vision to map out and draw the movement. One of the theories being this patch can take any dance footage with a static back ground and draw an image from a dancer. This could also take live feed footage be it local or streamed. May be an online collaboration?
Covid 19 world pandemic has obviously hampered progress within the university
this has led many practitioners to move online recently I've been looking to which softwares offer suitable online tools Isadora software is well suited to interface with online services as well is OBS studio. Luckily before the lockdown I had intimate knowledge of both these softwares Often in my life my Job collides with my research/art in this time I chose to get deeper into isadora software with training tutorials both enhancing my technical capabilties in this area and enhancig my creative opportunity, also luckily Mark Coniglio had decided to do a series of 1.5 hr long tutorials in which he teaches from basic level Isadora to some deep technical processes.
Here Mark Coniglio creator of Isadora software gives a session on use of Isadora at this time to create remote preformance.
âContinuing my work into theatre and the virtual.

During my masters I looked into how to bring traditional or not so traditional theatre practices and practitioners into modern day technologies such as virtual reality. In these works I chose to focus on the story of Gilgamesh taking some of the already established gravitas and rich culture of ancient writing and exploring it in a virtual environment with external triggers and sensations to place the audience in a purgatory of reality spanning both the virtual and the real.

In the next phase of my work I hope to take these ideas of rich cultural ancient stories and continue to understand the relationship between storytelling and virtual places.
I have fell upon exploring the route of western theatre through the 'eye' Polyphemus the Cyclops. "old technologies always occupy new technologies." C. Jewitt, 2003 I consider the theatre practices of Artuad and Brecht technolgies of performance which inhabit my virtual theatre work. Poignant at times interaction contrasted with distancing effects to make you aware
